Job Requirements of Gate Monitor:
A bit more about what you’re going to do:
- Assisting in the proper operation of the gate and examining the gate for notification of needed repairs.
- Sounding alarm or calling police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Permitting authorized persons to enter the property.
- Informing the other gate monitors at other properties if a situation arises or if other relevant information.
- Warning violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
- Contacting appropriate authorities and/or backup in situations requiring apprehension or expulsion of persons engaged in criminal/suspicious activities.
Position requirements:
Candidate must be available Monday- Sunday 5:45 P.M. - 4:45 A.M. Totaling four 10/hr shifts with an hour lunch break, with 3 days off a week.
*MUST BE ABLE TO WORK HOLIDAYS.
The successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Gate Monitor

McKinley is looking for a motivated and energetic Gate Monitor to join our team located in Ypsilanti, MI!
Compensation: $18.00/hourly + Benefit Package
Position information:
As a Gate Monitor you will regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the apartment community entrance to maintain orderly flow. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring gated apartment communities against unauthorized or unlawful entry.
